Summer Reading Challenge Patch!
Do you love getting lost in a good book?
Or maybe you just
need a little motivation to read this summer.
Whatever your reason, spend time with books and earn your Summer Reading Challenge Patch!
This challenge can also count toward earning the Library Explorer Patch.
Here's a quick 1-2-3 to earn your patch:
1. Track Your Reading
Print a reading log or pick one up from your local library to
track your reading minutes from May 15 through July 15 2026
- Be sure to include Girl Scout contact information on the reading log.
2. Submit Your Log
Turn in your completed reading log to the Girl Scouts
of Southern Nevada Council or your troop leader.

3. Receive Your Patch
Once the council receives the Girl Scout's documentation or a
troop leader request, patches will be mailed out free of charge.
* Visit the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada Council Patches page and select Library Reading Challenge Patches to view requirements for each age group and download a printable reading log. CLICK HERE

This opportunity is open to all Nevada Girl Scouts, as well as neighboring Girl Scouts who share our resources. Patch requirements can be completed using any library resources available to each Girl Scout.
