Frias Frontier Agreement
The Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada’s (GSSNV) Frias Frontier property is available for Girl Scout troop meetings, overnights, various day activities, and various events year-round. Reservation requests to hold Girl Scout troop meetings at Frias Frontier must be renewed through GSSNV annually. Reservations for the new membership year are accepted starting in July each year. All other reservation requests must be made at least 4 weeks and up to 12 months in advance. Full payment must be received 30-days prior to the start of the reservation.
Use of Property Guidelines:
- Must read the Frias Frontier Property Handbook.
- Personal pets are not permitted on GSSNV properties unless they are a certified service animal or part of girl programming (authorization required). Please check with Camp Ranger prior to interacting with the horses, chickens, or other animals on-site.
- Illegal drugs, weapons and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on GSSNV properties. If you are found in possession of or using these items you will be asked to leave immediately and may lose the right to attend any future GSSNV events, activities, and/or be removed from your GSSNV position.
- There is no smoking, vaping, tobacco products, or drugs allowed on GSSNV property, including parking lot and outside spaces. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at Girl Scout events where minor girls and their activities are the focus of the event. For any other event, prior approval must be obtained from the council.
- Those using the Frias Frontier property must bring their own cooking and cleaning supplies. Please ensure the property is left cleaner than it is found.
- Girl Scout troops must adhere to adult-to-girl ratios, age requirements and safety standards based on Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints at all times.
- Each Girl Scout troop/group must provide their own First Aid Kit and all supplies.
- Troops must have an approved Special Activity Form on file with GSSNV for an overnight. Be sure to obtain appropriate insurance if needed.
General On-Site Information:
- Frias Frontier is managed by GSSNV’s Camp Ranger. The Camp Ranger has access to your information and will be available for assistance with on-site issues or emergencies.
- Upon arrival, the person in charge of your group must immediately check in with the Camp Ranger outside of the main lodge entrance.
- Please park in designated parking areas.
- All gates must stay locked. Your group will receive gate access information from the Camp Ranger upon arrival to unlock/lock gates; the volunteer in charge of your group will be responsible for managing gate access during your stay.
- The Camp Ranger may cancel/reschedule any event/activity for safety reasons during your stay.
