Women in Aviation's 11th annual GIAD is here!
Introducing young girls to aviation can open up a world of possibilities and inspire them to reach for the skies, quite literally. It's important to showcase the diverse opportunities within aviation, from becoming pilots to pursuing careers in aerospace engineering or air traffic control.
Encouraging participation in programs like flight schools, aviation camps, and STEM initiatives can provide hands-on experience and spark interest. Highlighting role-models, such as female pilots, flight attendants, dispatchers, and air traffic controllers, to name a few, can be a powerful motivator. By fostering an inclusive environment and breaking down gender stereotypes, we can empower young girls to explore their passion for aviation and contribute to the future of this dynamic field.
Expect a fun-filled day of aviation activities, hands-on learning, and interaction with women professionals in the aviation industry. This event is for girls (and boys!) ages 8-18.
