Nothing says holiday cheer quite like the smell of fresh tamales steaming away. Gather your friends and family for a hands-on tamale-making adventure that's as fun as it is delicious.
In this four-hour workshop, you'll learn the secrets behind these tasty little bundles of joy-from mixing the perfect masa to crafting savory fillings and wrapping each tamale with care. Whether you're a seasoned cook or a complete beginner, you'll be laughing, learning, and rolling up your sleeves as we explore the rich traditions of Mexican holiday cuisine.
By the end, you'll head home with a dozen of your own handmade tamales-ready to share, gift, or keep all to yourself. This is the perfect way to bring authentic flavor and festive spirit to your holiday season.

Girls and adults must register for this class. Every participant will roll up their sleeves, make their own batch, and take home a dozen delicious tamales they created by hand!
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellation
Minimum and maximum attendance requirements exist for all programs. Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada reserves the right to cancel or change any scheduled activities due to lack of enrollment, severe weather, or natural disaster. Cancellation requests must be made in writing 72 hours before the event.
Refund
No refunds within 30 days of the event. No refunds will be issued for no shows. All refund requests must be made in writing to: customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org.
Event Cancellation Policy
To ensure the success and quality of our events, a minimum of 10 participants is required. We must meet this minimum within the registration deadline, which is two weeks prior to the event.
If this minimum is not met by the deadline, we regretfully reserve the right to cancel the event. In such cases, all registered participants will be notified promptly and offered a full refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future event.
We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us deliver meaningful and well-organized experiences.
Punctuality Policy for Event Participation
To ensure a smooth and enriching experience for all participants, we kindly request that all attendees arrive on time for the event.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, we ask that you refrain from joining the session. Late arrivals may disrupt the flow of the event and miss critical information presented at the beginning.
Please note that participants who are more than 15 minutes late will not qualify for a refund, as we must respect the time and efforts of all attendees and organizers.
Please note this is not a drop-off event-all girls must be accompanied by an adult.
