Rooted in Nature: Cadette Trees Badge Workshop

Calling all Cadette nature lovers! Get ready to branch out and go green with an exciting, hands-on workshop that dives deep into the wonderful world of trees. In partnership with UNR Extension, this experience is your chance to earn the Cadette Trees Badge while exploring everything from the science of trees to the stories they inspire.
During this workshop, you'll:
Try some tree-mendous activities that get you moving and thinking like a naturalist
Dig into tree science-learn how trees grow, communicate, and support life on Earth
Create a tree-inspired project that's as unique as your imagination
Explore the powerful bond between people and trees across time and cultures
Take action to help trees thrive, now and for generations to come
By the end of the day, you'll have earned your badge and grown your knowledge of trees from the roots up!
This is more than just a workshop-it's a chance to be part of the Girl Scout legacy of environmental stewardship. Since 1912, Girl Scouts have been naturalists, earth advocates, and changemakers. Now it's your turn to lead the way.

Refund and Cancellation Policy Template
Cancellation
Minimum and maximum attendance requirements exist for all programs. Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada reserves the right to cancel or change any scheduled activities due to lack of enrollment, severe weather, or natural disaster. Cancellation requests must be made in writing 72 hours before the event.
Refund
No refunds within 30 days of the event. No refunds will be issued for no shows. All refund requests must be made in writing to: customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org.
Event Cancellation Policy
To ensure the success and quality of our events, a minimum of 10 participants is required. We must meet this minimum within the registration deadline, which is two weeks prior to the event.
If this minimum is not met by the deadline, we regretfully reserve the right to cancel the event. In such cases, all registered participants will be notified promptly and offered a full refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future event.
We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us deliver meaningful and well-organized experiences.
Punctuality Policy for Event Participation
To ensure a smooth and enriching experience for all participants, we kindly request that all attendees arrive on time for the event.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, we ask that you refrain from joining the session. Late arrivals may disrupt the flow of the event and miss critical information presented at the beginning.
Please note that participants who are more than 15 minutes late will not qualify for a refund, as we must respect the time and efforts of all attendees and organizers.
