Celebrate Veterans Day with Purpose and Pride

Join us for a profound and unforgettable experience as we honor Veterans Day through one of the most meaningful traditions in Girl Scouting. This rare opportunity allows Girl Scouts to participate in a ceremonial flag retirement-one of the few patriotic acts Girl Scouts are entrusted to perform.

During this solemn event, Girl Scouts will learn proper flag etiquette and how to respectfully handle and care for the American flag. Together, they will prepare a worn flag for retirement and take part in a dignified ceremony by fire, reflecting on the flag's meaning and the values it represents-freedom, courage, and unity.

This is more than just a ceremony-it's a powerful way to honor those who have served our country and to instill in our girls a deep and lasting sense of patriotism, respect, and civic responsibility.

All Girl Scouts are encouraged to wear their full uniform as a symbol of pride and tradition.

Fee includes a commemorative fun patch and light refreshments.
Safety note: All participants must wear closed-toed shoes.
