Scholarships

At Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, we know how hard our girls and their families work to build women of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. We are excited to help in this journey by offering scholarships to those who qualify.

What is a Girl Scout Scholarship?

Girl Scholarships

For girls, the Girl Scout Scholarship may cover a percentage of the membership fee or uniform costs or one camp session for their first year of Girl Scouting.

Girl Scouts must participate in GSSNV product programs and meet the requirements for a participation patch to qualify for additional scholarships.

Troops/Groups should plan a self-sustaining budget.  Through money-earning activites and adequate saving/spending plans, troops/groups should be able to cover activity expenses and membership/troop fees/uniforms.

Adult Scholarships

For adults, the Girl Scout Scholarship covers a percentage of the membership fee. Adults must take on Troop Leader position or Service Unit Team position to be eligible for a scholarship and meet the requirements of qualifying for a scholarship. Volunteer Essentials must be complete before a qualifying adult scholarship will be processed.

Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada reserves the right to determine who qualifies for a GSSNV scholarship.  Application will be reviewed by GSSNV Staff.  The amount of funds granted varies on qualifications and available funds.
