Experience the Excitement of Nevada's Only Home Rodeo!
Girl Scouts are invited to attend an action-packed rodeo at the Priefert Arena at the South Point Hotel, happening March 6-8. This special event brings together talented contestants from across Nevada to compete in a wide range of thrilling rodeo events.
Spectators will see rough stock competitions like bull riding, saddle bronc, and bareback riding, along with timed events including barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, team roping, shooting, and cutting. It's an incredible opportunity to watch skilled athletes demonstrate strength, precision, and dedication in the arena.
For Girl Scouts working on horsemanship or animal-focused badges, this is a fantastic way to see real-world skills in action. Girls will gain insight into animal care, nutrition, agriculture, livestock management, and the science behind rodeo competition. The event also celebrates Western heritage culture and the traditions that continue to shape Nevada communities.
The rodeo begins Friday afternoon with shooting and cutting events, continues Saturday at 9:00 a.m., and resumes Sunday at 8:00 a.m. Admission is free, and families are welcome to attend for as much or as little time as they wish.
Come experience the excitement, learn something new, and cheer on Nevada's rodeo athletes!
This event is hosted by a third party. No Girl Scout Council staff will be in attendance, but we hope you enjoy the experience and make new friends!
