Pedal Into Confidence!
Spend your school-free day learning how to ride smart, stay
safe, and have fun on two wheels! In this hands-on bike workshop, Girl
Scouts will build skills that last a lifetime-on and off the road.
What to Expect:
Ride Smart & Safe - Discover the importance of helmets, how to avoid common bike accidents, and tips for riding safely on sidewalks and roadways.
Know the Rules - Learn traffic signs, crosswalk safety, and visibility tricks to keep every ride worry-free.
Bike Basics - Practice the ABC Quick Check (Air, Brakes, Chain), proper bike fit, and simple maintenance skills.
Skills in Action - Put your knowledge to the test on a fun course while practicing balance, stopping, hand signals, and obstacle avoidance.
Special Notes:
Caregivers are encouraged to attend.
Girls should bring their bikes if possible. Don't have one? CCSD Safe Routes to School will provide bikes to borrow.
Helmets are mandatory. If needed, CCSD Safe Routes to School will provide one free of charge.
