Linda Bridges, Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada CCO, named as finalist for Women of Distinction Award


Recognized at 20th Annual ICONIC Women of Distinction Awards on Oct. 7

LAS VEGAS (September 30, 2020) – Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada announced today that Linda Bridges, GSSNV Chief Communications Officer, was named a finalist in the Rising Star category of the 2020 Women of Distinction Awards presented by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Southern Nevada. The 20th Annual ICONIC Women of Distinction Awards will be held virtually October 7, 2020, 3:00 - 5:00 pm, and will honor 12 dynamic women with the prestigious 2020 ICONIC Women of Distinction Award.

Bridges, a second-generation Girl Scout alumna, earned a Master of Arts degree from Webster University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In her role as Chief Communications Officer, Bridges leads creative strategy, development of internal and external communications, PR and media engagement, and the rollout of strategic marketing programs that further lift the Girl Scouts brand in Southern Nevada and nationwide. Bridges first moved to Las Vegas from St. Louis, Missouri in 2013 joining the leadership team of Catapult Groups, a coaching firm for CEOs, company presidents, and managing partners where she developed marketing strategy and competitive positioning in Las Vegas, Nevada; Phoenix, Arizona; and Palo Alto, California. Prior to Catapult Groups, Bridges held leadership positions with Target Corporation, Jet Aviation, and DNV-GL.  

 

Other finalists recognized in the Rising Star category are Aesha Allums-Goins of Black Joy Consulting and Domenico D’anna of Morgan Stanley.
