3,600 boxes to be donated to 11 command centers and LVMPD HQ

Event Details: Local Girl Scouts will donate 3,600 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to thank LVMPD officers for their service to the Southern Nevada community. Girl Scout CEO, Kimberly Trueba and LVMPD Deputy Chief Andy Walsh will deliver remarks. 3,600 boxes of Girl Scout cookies will be donated to each of the 11 LVMPD command centers, LVMPD substation, and HQ. Southern Nevada Girl Scouts collected over 13,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies during the 2019 Girl Scout Cookie Program through Gift of Caring. Gift of Caring is a nation-wide Girl Scout service project that gives the community the chance to donate Girl Scout cookies to approved nonprofit partners and provides Girl Scouts the opportunity to learn about philanthropy and different nonprofit organizations in our community.
In addition to the LVMPD, Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada donated Girl Scout cookies to the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, USO Las Vegas, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, and The Shade Tree, among others.
Notes: After the presentation and remarks, there will be photo ops with Kimberly Trueba, LVMPD Deputy Chief Andy Walsh, and Girl Scouts.
