This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the online portion.  You will receive the link to complete the online portion of your training no later than 1 week prior to the date of your in-person training. If you don't receive the link  to the online portion within that timeframe, please reach out to customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org.

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.  You are responsible for submitting a copy of your CPR/First Aid certificate to GSSNV through customerservice@girlscoutsnv.org.

This is a required training for at least 1 adult volunteer present at all Girl Scout meetings and activities.

This training does not meet the qualifications needed for most water activities, please refer to Safety Activity Checkpoints for further information on requirements for water activities.

This course is for adults who are registered Girl Scout members only. In order to receive certification participants will need to pass certain evaluations that may include a physical skills test and/or a written skills test. Participants who do not pass these evaluations will not receive certification and cannot be issued a refund.

Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada reserves the right to cancel or change any scheduled trainings due to lack of enrollment.  For the security of our girls and volunteers, the doors will lock 15 minutes after the training is scheduled to begin. Participants must be present for the entire course to receive certification. Late attendees may not be allowed to complete the training and will not be issued a refund.
