Horseback Riding - Part 2
A refresher of the first session (catch/halter/lead, groom) will be provided, in addition to learning both English and Western-style saddling. This session will include a riding activity with the instructors. During this time, the rider will learn to stop, start, steer, will keep the horse at a walk along the rail, using inside leg, outside leg and learning proper use of the reins, seat and leg cues, as well as learning to turn on the rail and completing a simple obstacle course. Riders will participate in a mock trail ride experience in the big arena, depending on the confidence and ability of each rider. All participants will earn a fun patch!
