Camp-ish: The Last Hurrah!
Join us for our final Camp-ish session of the summer! Juniors will let nature be their inspiration as they explorer, design and create outdoor art. Cadettes will learn how to care for a young child and give basic first aid care to a person in need. Juniors will earn the Outdoor Art Explorer while Cadettes earn the First Aid Badge and the American Red Cross Babysitting Basics Certification (please note that this does not include First Aid and CPR certification).
Session Times (length of session may be shorter):
- Junior: 10:30am - 11:30am via Zoom, Monday - Thursday with a virtual field trip on Friday
- Cadette: 2:00pm - 3:00pm via Zoom, Thursday with a virtual field trip on Friday
- Cadettes American Red Cross Babysitting Basics course will be completed entirely through the American Red Cross online system. Campers will be able to complete this 4 hours course on their own and at their own pace Monday - Wednesday. Virtual Camp-ish zoom meetings will resume Thursday.
Camp will be facilitated by a GSSNV Staff Member Monday - Thursday via Zoom*. The zoom link to access this virtual sessions will be emailed to participants once registration has closed. On Friday, campers can participate in a virtual field trip lead by a local organization. Details about the field trip will be sent to participants at a later date. Kits** have been prepared to complete this badge at home and a Camp-ish fun patch will also be included. Kits will need to be picked up at our council office prior to camp. Pick up date and times will be emailed to participants at a later date. Members from a different council will have their kits shipped to them at an additional cost. Badges earned are not included and can be purchased at the Girl Scout Council Shop.
*check your itinerary as there may be one day a week where campers do not meet through zoom, but instead participate in an on-your-own activity(s)
**some supplies will not be included in the kit and can be gathered at home prior to the arrival of your kit. A list will be emailed to you prior to the first day of camp.
