Be Prepared! (CPR/First Aid Certification) CD/SR/AM - CANCELLED
This program is a training for GIRLS, not adults.
Gain experience about the CPR and First Aid certification by taking our course that incorporates the latest science while teaching students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies. This course will cover the topics of burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies, and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help pediatric and adult victims. The trained and certified volunteer instructors will present a standard curriculum as set by the American Red Cross in a dynamic way that will engage multiple learning types. Participation in the entire course, including all activities, is required to receive certification.
Participants will need to pass certain evaluations that may include a physical skills test and/or a written skills test. Participants who do not pass these evaluations will not receive certification and cannot be issued a refund. Participants must be present for the entire course to receive certification.
Girls will earn a fun patch, along with completing some steps towards their First Aid badge.
