Join Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada as we hold our inaugural STEAM Career Day for girls in 6th – 12th grades. Girls will participate in a conference style event to hear about and learn from female leaders in the fields on science, technology, engineering, arts and math.
The day will kick off with a welcome address and hands-on challenge to stimulate your minds in the morning. Through the morning girls will participate in five breakout sessions for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Girls will also have a formal luncheon that will feature a keynote speaker and table discussions.
This is a conference event, Girl Scouts must be in full uniform. Full uniform includes a white shirt, khaki pants or skirts, and your khaki sash or vest. Non-Girl Scouts are asked to come dressed in business casual attire. (options for business casual wear - skirt/pant + blouse, dress + cardigan/jacket/sweater, skirt/pant + sweater/cardigan)
This event is open to girls in 6th – 12th grades who are Girl Scouts and Non-Girl Scouts as well. If you are a Girl Scout you can register using the Girl Scout rate.*
Price includes: STEAM Career Conference branded tote bag, professional notebook and pen set, continental breakfast, and a plated lunch.
This a drop and go event, so a parent permission form must be completed for each girl to be turned in at registration. This event will be covered by PR, so an additional release waiver will need to be signed by a guardian at registration.
