Be Prepared! Emergency Preparedness
Plan, Prepare, Practice! Respond to any disaster with three important steps: Create a plan for yourself, your family, and friends; Plan to help your neighbors and community; and Practice and build-out your plans. Girls will learn about the national "Stop the Bleed" campaign, create First Aid kits for their family, and prepare a "Bug-Out Bag" with all the essentials for an emergency. LVMPD and other community agencies will be on-hand to teach participants the importance of being prepared for any kind of disaster.
Please Note: Girls should be dressed appropriately for the weather with closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Girl Scouts should bring a water bottle and sack lunch. This a girl event. Chaperones must register for this event and be a Girl Scout member. All girls must provide an activity permission form before the event. You can access this form by clicking here.
