Girl Scouting 101
This is a required independent-study course. Girl Scouting 101 gives the volunteer an introduction to Girl Scouting and its many rewarding opportunities. The course is taken on line. Girl Scouting 101 should be completed prior to attending the Jump Start to Leadership and Leadership Essentials courses.

Introduction and Welcome: Instructions on how to navigate orientation

An interactive tour of Girl Scouting: Girl Scout Mission, Promise and Law, history, and membership requirements

Girl Scout Pathways: Illustrates various ways girl and adult members participate

Volunteers Support: Describes resources available to volunteers

Ages and Stages: What girls are like and what they can do in Girl Scouts

Program: Presents three keys to leadership: discover - connect - take action, and their outcomes, and the three processes: girl-led, learning by doing, cooperative learning
