Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls – all girls – where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and life skills for success in the real world.  Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada serves more than 10,000 girl and adult members throughout Southern Nevada.

Girl Scouts of the USA

Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada is a part of the national organization Girl Scouts of the USA. Since 1912, Girl Scouts has helped girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Today, there are 3.2 million Girl Scouts - 2.3 million girl members and 880,000 adult members working primarily as volunteers to help girls grow courageous and strong.

World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts

Through membership in the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), Girl Scouts of the USA is part of a worldwide family of 10 million girls and adults in 144 countries. WAGGGS mission is to enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.

There are four world centers owned by WAGGGS:

• Our Cabana in Cuernavaca, Mexico
• Sangam in Pune, India
