Get ready for a wonderful weekend camping by the waterfront in Needles, California. Girls will learn about the joy of canoeing on the open water!
During this event especially for Junior Girl Scouts, girls will learn about water safety including, how to prevent capsizing and swamping canoes and how to handle it if it does happen, and rescue techniques. Girls will also get a chance to learn and practice their paddle strokes. A weekend of water fun, canoeing, kayaking, playing water games, campfire and singalongs.
Troops must be chaperoned by at least 2 unrelated adults.
Individual girls must be chaperoned by 1 adult.
All adults must have outdoor basic training, CPR/First Aid and submit a troop travel form. Troops will be responsible for all meals during this event. This is not a certification course.
This is a members only event.
