Cadette Summer Camp Sessions

Must be a registered member of Girl Scouts to attend. Membership is $12 annually and may be purchased at the time of registration or click here to purchase now.


Overnight Family Camping

Dates: May 25-26, 2013
Cost: $25 per person/per session
Register By: Friday, May 20

Experience the fun of Camp Foxtail - family style. One dinner, breakfast and lunch will be included. Families will be assigned cabins to sleep in and share community bathrooms. The whole family gets to enjoy all the activities that are available at camp: biking, hiking, games, campfires, songs, archery and so much more! We provide the staff for all program activities. Each family will be responsible for their children, transportation to camp, bedding and personal items. All activities are done family style. No children under the age of five are permitted to attend.

Re-Awakening of Camp Foxtail

Dates: Saturday, June 8, 2013
Cost: FREE

This is a fantastic way to get involved with your community. Help prepare Camp Foxtail for the summer. After a long winter, we need to air out and ready the cabins for camp. With the help of volunteers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and skilled laborers camp will be ready for laughter and smiles! A variety of projects will be planned for all skill levels.

Camp Foxtail Open House

Dates: Saturday, June 15, 2013
Cost: FREE

This is the perfect opportunity to take your little camper on an exploration of Camp Foxtail. Ride up on a bus from the Girl Scout Leadership Center or drive up on your own. You and your family will be able to tour the camp facilities and meet the camp staff for 2013. Lunch will be provided. Come enjoy the cool mountain air and fun activities. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and a light jacket. Registration is required.

*Please note: The bus will leave the Girl Scout Leadership Center at 9 a.m. and return at 2 p.m. Only 50 spaces. Register early to reserve your seat.

Anything Goes Camp

You will be a camp pioneer after this adventure to earn your Trailblazing badge. Get ready to team up and take on endurance challenges as you participate in the traditions of camp with hiking, sleeping under the stars, along with skill building with GPS navigation and fuel-building with energy snacks.


Babysitter Club
Session #204

Dates: June 23-28, 2013

Get your babysitting business booming. But, first, join the Babysitter Club for secrets of success. This session gives you the tools to develop, market, and promote yourself. Gain skills to deal with children of all ages when you work with Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts. Learn the basic first aid skills for children. Create new games, crafts and icebreakers for your business. Receive the American Red Cross Babysitting Training Certificate. Plus earn your Babysitter badge, and requirements toward the First Aid and Entrepreneur badge, and the Breath journey.

Includes Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certificate - $150 Value!


Camp My Way

Design and create your own camp experience. So you probably been camping tons and know what you want to do. During this session you pick. Is it spending the day in the art center, hiking trails or practicing archery? Don’t worry, you don’t have to plan it now, just know it’s camping your way!

Bull's Eye - Advanced Archery

Put your sharpshooting skills to test as you go for the bull’seye, over and over! Archery boosts mental and physical health and fitness, improves patience, focus, flexibility, and teaches safety. Get ready to work toward your Good Sportsmanship badge. This is an advanced session of archery that will challenge both mental and physical acuity, as girls discover control rather than power.


New Cuisines Chef

Bring your imagination and readiness to try new foods! Create cuisine from another culture, and region of the U.S. Discover different cooking methods. Tour the camp kitchen and learn safety, proper food handling, food preparation, cooking and baking techniques, food styling, table setting and kitchen etiquette. Finally, get festive by helping prepare a meal for the entire camp! By the time you finish earning your New Cuisines badge, you will have the confidence and knowledge to cruise the kitchen.


Ultra Adventurer

As the ultimate trailblazer, you will gain requirements toward the Trailblazing and Good Sportsmanship badges. Get ready to trek around Camp Foxtail with adventures of rock climbing, hike over to Clark County high ropes course, and take a hike to Sponge Creek. Plus, a back pack trip on Mt Charleston where you get to pitch a tent and sleep under the stars!


Anchor, Aim, Shoot - Beginner Archery

Arrows will be flying as our young archers take the stance. Get ready to test your sharpshooting, flexibility and mental acuteness skills as you work toward your Good Sportsmanship badge. This Olympic sport teaches success and offers a lifetime of enjoyment. While at camp, you will discover basics in the terminology, rules, score keeping, proper stance and shooting techniques.


Crime Scene Investigator

Test your inner crime-solver skills as you earn the Secret Agent badge. You will play the role of a crime scene investigator as you investigate the case. Here’s a chance to test your survival skills. Gain skills in starting a one match fire, build a shelter using elements found in the woods, follow map and compass navigation and more. This session ends with a backpacking and overnight campout adventure, so come prepared for your own amazing race.
